Shallow Foundations
Spread footing bearing capacity, settlement, and sliding — with shape, depth, and load-inclination factors and effective-area reduction for eccentric loads.
Open a free accountWhat it does
The Shallow Foundations tool sizes and checks spread and strip footings. Bearing capacity is computed by the Vesić general equation with shape, depth, and load-inclination factors and effective-area reduction for eccentric loading, plus a Terzaghi cross-check.
Settlement is evaluated by e-log-p consolidation for cohesive soils and elastic methods for granular soils. Sliding resistance and the applied bearing-pressure distribution round out the checks.
Output is a formatted PDF report with the bearing-capacity build-up, settlement summary, and demand/capacity ratios.
